My father, an elderly vulnerable pensioner, was defrauded out of his life savings by Builders GB. My father contracted Builders GB to complete a loft conversion which Builders GB abandoned, leaving his home in an uninhabitable damaged state in the middle of winter with half a roof and water pouring in through the house. Builders GB created a complicated situation which put my father in a vulnerable state where he felt forced to make payments for work that was never or negligently done. We had to employ a secondary building firm at a huge cost to restart the build from scratch because what little was done by Builders GB didn't pass building regulations. My father's health suffered immeasurably; he has not recovered from this and absolutely regrets contracting Builders GB in the first place. Our efforts to engage with Builders GB since have been futile.
